Yesterday at 08:15 AM The President's Classless low blow! by Sleek Phantom Mystic

While in Israel, the President criticized Barack Obabama yesterday. This is the most classless thing I've ever seen a President do ( Is he drunk again). When the Dixie Chicks criticized Bush in England they were potrayed as traitors, but yet this President does the same thing to a potential President.

I know there will be those who will defend this ignorant ( I'm being polite) beast, but there is no excuse for turning foriegn policy into a cheap political ploy.

He makes our Country and Himself ( He does'nt care he'll be gone in 9 months) look very bad. I'll be glad when this nightmare (Administration) is over, we as a country should all be ashamed that we chose this man ( First time does'nt count)) to represent our country.

Yesterday at 01:56 AM Sabotage! by Lawmage

Federal authorities recently announced they have launched an investigation into acts of vandalism at a Boeing Rotorcraft Systems plant in Ridley Park, PA. President Bush recently spoke at a pulic appearence there.

Boeing Rotorcraft Systems produces the workhorse CH-47 Chinook helicopter used by the US military. Two of those aircraft were sabotaged on the production line. At the moment, the case is being investigated as a vandalism but the nature of the damages (deliberately cut wiring and damaged washers on structural members) seems to be more than simple vandalism. It seems to be a deliberate attempt to impair the operation and safety of the aircraft.

US law provides for significant penalties for acts of sabotage (30 years in jail, ref Title 18 section 2154.) Hopefully the investigation will reveal the parties responsible and they will be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

05/15/08 10:50 AM No one should act as low as CNN by apaul193

Today I read the reports about the earthquake that happened recently in China on CNN's website. It was incredible to find that it reported little about the situation nor showed any concern on this disaster, but instead was criticizing China's one-child policy which was CNN thought to be the reason that thousands of parents became childless.

It is self-evident that CNN is a flagitious media, as at this time it shared no feelings with those victims, but showed its hostility under the pretense of concerning about those childless parents.
Even idiots know there would still be many parents who couldn't escape from becoming childless in the face of of such great disater, even though they had more than one child. Damn the filthy disguise. It is ineligible to talk about humanity, justice and responsibility.

All in all, CNN acted in a totally stupid way this time, and I finally start to understand why it was always as notorious.

05/15/08 06:35 AM Gay Marriage by Lawmage

The California Supreme Court is expected to present its ruling on gay marriage today (Thursday, 15 May 2008.)

The CSC has been considering whether the 2000 ban on gay marriage violates the right to equal protection under the law. The case stems from several dozen gay marriages performed in San Francisco when then Mayor Gavin Newsome directed the city government to issue marriage licenses to same sex couples.

The 2000 ban, known as Proposition 22, banned gay marriage but did afford same sex couples certain legal rights and protections. It stopped short of equivalency to marriage though. The State legislature has twice since then passed a provision to legalize same sex marriages. Those provisions have been vetoed by Republican governor Shwartzenegger, who cited the 2000 vote as his reason.

If the CSC rules the ban is a violation of the State consitution, we may see California join Massachusetts as the second State to allow same sex marriage.

05/13/08 11:34 AM Obama and Racism by ChaoticTranquility

OK! So I have been wondering if racism dead in the U.S. or how strong is it still? With Obama so close to being nominated, if he wins the generals election what is going to happen?

If Obama does not do anything special for African Americans the Al Sharptons And Jesse Jacksons are going to label him as pandering to the whites, while if he gives to much to the Africans American community, the old white racism will kick in.

So could Obama being elected be a catalyst for a modern race war?

05/13/08 02:27 AM China's Earthquake by lizbeth

The death toll keeps rising. And the questions also rise. The world has faced at least 3 major disasters within the last 3 years--the tsunami, the cyclone and, now, the earthquake--not to mention the tornedo that hit New Orleans (did other countries send us aid for that?--I don't remember reading anything about that, if they did.)

One of my questions is, "Do we have enough money?"

As a world leader, we should give relief to the people of the world in cases of national disaster. It's simply humanitarianism--plus good press for us.

But, given all of our responsibilities, do we have the means to support them?

05/12/08 05:27 PM Myanmar by Aint

On May 3rd a devastating cyclone hit Myanmar, also known as Burma. It's a small nation between Bangladesh and Thailand. Tens of thousands are believed dead or missing since the storm struck.

On May 12th, the first US aid plane, an unarmed C-130, made a delivery of much needed supplies.

Why the long delay? We know it's not because America is stingy with foreign aid. It's because the military junta, the ruling generals of Myanmar, would not allow US aid to enter their nation.

The junta do not like the US. They do not trust us and do not like our policies towards other countries, especially theirs. We have several economic sanctions against Burma stemming from their general human rights abuses such as human trafficking, their intolerance of religious freedom, money laundering activities allowed by and participated in by their government, the military over throws of elected governments, forceful election fraud and this little thing they use for crowd control called a machine gun.

Still, we offer to them millions of dollars in relief. Relief which is being controlled by the junta. They do not want us or the UN dispensing the supplies even though they do not have the gear or man power to do it properly themselves. Yeah, that and the junta want to feed the army first and foremost.

05/11/08 11:42 PM Immigrant Detainees by lizbeth

I didn't know, until I saw the Sixty Minutes program tonight, that immigrants seeking political asylum in the US are put into detention--sometimes indefinatly. They seem to be treated as if they are 'hostile combantants.'
 Quote:
Immigrant detainees face serious due process and human rights violations under the current U.S. immigration detention system. Access to counsel is frequently limited due to broken phones or language barriers. Heightened enforcement has expanded the detention population and as a result, the government detention centers and county jails that hold immigrant detainees are failing to meet the needs of this vulnerable population, which includes asylum seekers who came to the United States fleeing torture and children who have been separated from their parents.

Medical treatment can be substandard or non-existant so many asylun immigrants have died in detention since 9/11.

Are we or are we not the 'Land of Opportunity?'

How much more of this can we take?

05/11/08 01:21 PM Computer Assistance by Neecie

I need some assistance if you can help. How are you doing? I have a problem. My boyfriend has done something on the computer and now he doeson't know how to undo it.

I have tried but can't find what I am looking for. We have windows XP. When you log on the computer now you have to put in a password and he does not want it that way. When I go to the control panel and account users and click on manage log ons between users it says that client services for netware has been disabled and to fix the problem you have to uninstall client services for netware.

Do you know how I can fix this? He even tried to redo the computer but that didn't work. I would appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks so much.

05/11/08 07:06 AM The New Light Bulbs by Grams

Now what?

We have a box full of these new lightbulbs, and now we are finding out all the bad stuff about them !

If one breaks open do not touch it !
So that means put on gloves and clean it up fast, you are
endangering your self by breathing it.

The last thing I saw in the paper was not to touch the bulb, only
the base that you screw into the fixture. And you are not supposed to put them in the regular trash.

So how do you dispose of these bulbs when they are used up, does anyone know?
