There was an ad which ran last year on local radio station KHLB in Mason, Texas where the owner of Keller's Riverside Store announced...

"If you are a socialist liberal and or voted for the current campaigner in chief, please do not take this class. You have already proven that you cannot make a knowledgeable and prudent decision as under the law." [and] "If you are a non-Christian Arab or Muslim, I will not teach you the class with no shame; I am Crockett Keller, thank you and God bless America."

It seems that Mr.Crockett Keller teaches concealed handgun carry classes out behind his country store out there in Mason, Texas. Keller, a self-styled expert in the fine art of concealed handgunnery, made it clear that his kind of Lone Star home-schooled bigoted gun-toting isn't for everyone, saying "I call it exercising my right to choose who I instruct in how to use a dangerous weapon.

Keller went on to say, "If you are a devout Muslim then you cannot be a true American. Why should I arm these people to kill me, that's suicide."

Apparently, Mr. Keller is grossly ignorant when it comes to the concealed carry laws there in his home state of Texas. The law has no restrictions concerning an applicant's religious preference or political persuasion. A Muslim, a liberal, and someone who voted for President Obama may in fact take a concealed carry class from a qualified gun instructor, and upon the submission of the application to the authorities, and providing he or she meets the necessary requirements, they will be allowed to obtain a concealed carry permit in the state of Texas.

The Texas Dept. of Public Safety released a statement shortly after this incident which in part said that concealed handgun instructors who deny service to individuals based on race, ethnicity, or religion could end up having their instructor certification revoked or suspended. What do you think? Should Muslims and liberals and Obama supporters be allowed to carry concealed handguns? Or...should right-winger conservative Republicans be the only ones allowed to exercise their second amendment rights?

There are ways around this. Namely, don't be an Obamanite death to America Muslim.

And don't we think these instructors have some duty to society? If one of these guys trained someone on cc and that person turned around and shot up a DART station, the death to America Liberals would be screaming for that instructors head. The headline would read, "Crockett Keller trained murderer to kill innocent children".

Yes Ain't you are right, the instructors have a duty to keep America safe (who gave them this responsibility is a subject for another topic) Therefore they should not give classes to Jews, blacks, Asians (they might be North Koreans), Hispanics, and people who pronounce words properly (i.e. don't speak with a Texas accent.) All these are signs of America's enemies. At the end, he'll have a class with three white yokel rednecks who think the Confederate flag is something you use as a rope when lynching uppity blacks.

If the guy had a restaurant would he refuse to serve liberals and Muslims? Because clearly, if he followed the Constitution and allowed them in, he'd be helping to keep the enemy alive.

I wonder if it's the same Crockett Atle Keller of Austin Texas who was arrested five years ago and did some jail time for distribution of child pornography, or if I'm just making that up.

I don't think there is conclusive evidence that being liberal, muslim or voting for Obama makes one a threat to society. Are you convinced that by limiting his training sessions to like minded people we're never going to read that headline?

We certainly won't see it. Conservatives never blow up abortion clinics, or shoot doctors who perform legal abortions, or shoot members of Congress, or spit on blacks, or burn black schools or for that matter, commit voter fraud. You just won't find the moral, ethical, honorable conservatives doing things like that.

Mr. Keller said he was inspired to run the ad after he was "flabbergasted" by a couple of his neighbors who left Texas to campaign for President Obama. Mason, Texas is 93% white residents. The GOP won 70% of votes there in 2010.

This reminds me of that Urologist [Jack Cassell] down in Mount Dora, Florida, who posted a sign on his office door which read, " If you voted for Obama, seek urologic care elsewhere. Changes to your health care begin right now, not in four years." Seems the good doctor was not in favor of the proposed Obama healthcare reform bill, and decided he would no longer treat anyone who voted for President Obama.

Keller and Cassell...real American heroes, or just a couple more publicity-seeking whiners sounding off out there in Podunkville, USA?

Then there was Antonio Darden, the gay Sante Fe hair stylist who refused to style/cut the hair of Susana Martinez, New Mexico's first female governor [a Republican] because of Martinez's opposition to same sex marriage. So, it's not just liberals, Muslims, and Obama supporters who are being discriminated against.

Hmmmm, I bet these guys have a big plate full of those Obama Waffles for breakfast most mornings.
