The First Lady was down here in Fort Worth Texas to have a dinner meeting with Texas moms about her Let's Move! campaign. For some strange reason, she chose Olive Garden.

The Let's Move! plan is aimed at childhood obesity. It promotes healthy eating and exercise.

Now I'm not saying Olive Garden is unhealthy. They are heavy on carbs though, like pasta and bread. And to come to Texas and eat at Olive Garden. Come on. There are way better places to eat here.

Your suggesting Olive Garden offers less then healthy food? Ha! My mother in law is recovering in a convalescent home following a fracture in her back. Last nights dinner: grilled cheese sandwich on some sort of wonder bread, tasteless bean soup and a salad made from iceberg lettuce. A cookie and pudding for desert. Snack cart later: hostess cupcakes, cookies of all sorts, potato chips, etc. Pure JUNK! Compared to the most food served at convalescent homes and many hospitals, the Olive Garden is a pantry of healthy of eating...trust me.

My opinion is she is taking lessons from Hillary. Hillary knew her women. Many of Hillary town meetings were held at locations like the Olive Garden because women "liked" those kinds of places. (just check out their facebook pages to prove that fact). Yeppers.....women love, love, love Olive Garden bread sticks. I trust Michelle's choice has more to do with Hillary type political campaigning then it does with educating American women on the value of healthy eating.

"For some reason..." ???

Do you think she selected Olive Garden because she likes it? It has to do with research showing that many people in Fort Worth enjoy eating at the Olive Garden, the demographic is made up of many people who can't afford more than the Olive Garden and possibly the generous contributions to his campaign from the Olive Garden CEO.

While we're on the subject, let me repeat a line I heard on either Bill Maher or Jon Stewart:"Newt Gingrich is to a human being as The Olive Garden is to life in Italy."
