Dispensationalism ('rightly dividing') had it's main champion in Bible student Cyrus Scofield, who produced a combined Bible/reference notes called the 'Scofield Reference Bible' in 1917. Here'e some Wikipedia info about it:

It was largely through the influence of Scofield's notes that dispensationalism grew in influence among fundamentalist Christians in the United States.
Scofield's notes on the Book of Revelation are a major source for the various timetables, judgments, and plagues elaborated by popular religious writers such as Hal Lindsey, Edgar C. Whisenant, and Tim LaHaye; and in part because of the success of the Scofield Reference Bible, twentieth-century American fundamentalists placed greater stress on eschatological speculation.
Opponents of biblical fundamentalism have criticized the Scofield Bible for its air of total authority in biblical interpretation, for what they consider its glossing over of biblical contradictions, and for its focus on eschatology
Definition of ESCHATOLOGY 1 : a branch of theology concerned with the final events in the history of the world or of humankind 2 : a belief concerning death, the end of the world, or the ultimate destiny of humankind; specifically : any of various Christian doctrines concerning the Second Coming, the resurrection of the dead, or the Last Judgment
We have been having a study on the bible and this is one part , of months in our study. I have no idea how to us the printer so I have to type this myself. This is from a sheet of paper Tom has handed out to us.
Deletions In Part Or In Whole:
Psalms 12:6,7... Modern translations changed: " The words of the Lord are pure words: .. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD , thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever"
To: "you shall keep us safe and to protect us from such people forever" or " Thou wilt preserve him..."
Psalms 138:2 ..... Modern translations changed: for thou hast mangnified thy word above all thy name: To" .. thy word according to thy name." Or: "you have exalted above all things your name and your word."
ll Samuel 7:14........ Modern translations changed: "I will be his father, and he shall be my son. IF he commit iniquitye, I will chasten..." referring to Solomon and by type to the Lord Jesus Christ; is changed to: "I will be his father, and he will be my sone. WHEN he does wrong..."
II Samuel 21:19...... Modern translations change: "And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother goliath the Gittite,..." To: "In another battle with the Philistines at Gob, Elhanan son of Jaare-Oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath... " [Not David?}
This took me way longer then I thought. And I must have made a lot of mistakes. I will try to finish , or do a little more when ever I can. I did not get to the Whole verse deleted

grams, To suggest "Modern translations"must be wrong because they are different to the the King James version is absurd. The King James translation is not the oldest in English but dates to the 16th century when the the King wanted a translation suitable to the Anglican Church in England. There are many older translations into English.
All the passages named have many translations depending on the time they were made. For example The New world , Jehovah Witness, translation has Psalm 6 " The sayings of Jehovah are pure sayings" and verse7 "You will preserve each one from this generation to times indefinite"
The Catholic Douay Translation , has this Psalm as no 11, and has different verses but has the words " Thou O Lord will preserve us; thou will keep us for generations forever are still there." As The Douay version is older than the King James it has the same words. It does not mean that any translation is more accurate.
This also applies to Psalm 137 where Douay translates "Because thou has magnified they-they name above all things.", The New world translation has "For you have magnified your saying even above your name."
I am not saying which translation is more accurate , just pointing out that old translations liker King James and Douay are similar and modern translations like the New World have different words. It depends on the time of the translations not the Church that sponsor the translation.
Various priests have been manipulating scripture since it was written. Textual criticism is the discipline of unraveling their efforts.
I don't see the problem for Christians. If God is still alive then presumably he 'influences' the changes to best suit his current whims, and old versions of the Bible (including the medieval KJB) should be discarded as out of date.
The following verses have been deleted (whole or in part) from the Westcott & Hort Greek Text (Note Quotations below compare the KJV to the NASV and / or the NIV)
Matthew 5:22........ "But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment." bold deleted. Mark 3:5 says the Lord "looked round about on them with anger"
Matthew 5:13 ....... The whole verse deleted Matthew 18:11 ........The whole verse deleted Matthew 23:14 ........."Sadducees and Pharises" deleted Matthew 23:13 ......... "The Son of Man cometh" deleted Mark 1:1 ........."Son of God" deleted Mark 1:2,3 ........ "As it is writtten in the prophets" - then quotes Malachi & Isaiah, is changed to "As it is written in Isaiah the prophet" Mark 9:44 .........The whole verse deleted Mark 9:26 ..........The whole verse deleted Mark 10:24 .........."How hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God" - bold is deleted Mark 16:9-20 ........ All 12 verses deleted Luke 2:33 ........"Joseph" is changed to "father" Luke 4:4 ........ "Every Word of God" deleted

Grams, Minesadorada, uses the term priests to attack any minister of religion including Pastor Tom. This is a term of abuse in his anti clerical country.
It is true that priests and ministers of religion have been involved in the various translations of the Bible. They do this in their role as expert biblical scholars. I have no objection to this.
