" I think this is it! I think we're seeing the beginning of the end of the Democratic Party as we know it. And it's all due, in part, to a president and national party leaders who don't know when to keep their mouths shut and take the high road when the situation demands it. The camel's back-breaking straw is the union-fueled fire going on in Wisconsin and some other states on the edge of financial ruin. Wisconsin is in the spotlight as the teacher's union is amply demonstrating their concern for the law, for the state, and of course for...wait for it...THE CHILDREN, as they display their disdain for common sense and the former dignity of their own profession."
Well, the end of the Democratic Party. I think you mean the end of the Republican party as we knew it, so bereft of quality it offers up candidates like the ones we're seeing now, political hacks, hypocrites, liars, losers.
As far as "the back-breaking straw, the union fueled fire going on in Wisconsin..." it was reported today that more than a million voters have signed a petition to recall Gov. Scott Walker. That's 20% of Wisconsin's population, more if you don't count those under voting age.
So never mind the end of the Democratic Party, let's cheer for the fact that as lazy and couch-potatoey as we've become, we can still somehow figure out when we're really getting screwed, and whether Walker is recalled or not, the people have spoken loudly against his attempts to destroy unions.
Warming up in the wings? Obama's second term presidential team.
