Paying union organizers makes a lot more sense than paying hired mercenaries and professional killers like Blackwater (now conveniently name-changed to some other shadowy entity) in Iraq and Afghanistan. We taxpayers are paying these private security thugs 4 or 5 times what our own all-volunteer honorable men and women get paid for risking their lives every day.

And let's not forget what we have paid out to Halliburton and the other corporations who are feeding at the government trough in both Iraq and Afghanistan. And then there were/are these deficit-funded tax refunds for the wealthy that we borrowed Trillions from the Chinese to pay for them with.

I say we need more union organizers on the government payroll. What, do we just have the one? Snap out of it, President Obama and hire some more quick. Remember, Pontius Pilate was a governor (a politician and probably a Publican), but Jesus was a community activist and an organizer of poor fishermen, tentmakers, tax collectors, carpenters, shepherds, and other laboring class commoners. Go unions!

The Government (the people) is the enforcer of employee rights. To have a union against the people is wrong and nothing but criminal extortion and illegally taxes the union members to create a pool of money that un-Constitutionally subordinates the will and vote of the American People to financial payout. The whole thing is corrupt to the core. Congress, Senators and the President achieve incredible wealth from unused campaign accounts and even abuses of campaign funds go unprosecuted. It is all wrong. That is not the America I believe in.

If you want to bitch about what the military is paid, go look at your party which refuses to compensate them properly while raising the salaries of cubicle bureaucrats to obscene levels, far above the private sector.

And there is no union for the military.

If workers want to be paid for union activity during normal work hours, let their union pay them out of the dues they paid to their union out of their own paychecks.

That's right. You have to pay a union to be in a union. I was in one once. I paid my dues out of my paycheck. My employer didn't pay me an allowance to cover my union dues. My employer didn't pay me anything to participate in union activity during normal work hours. My job was clerk, not union activity doer. I was hired to be a clerk. I was paid to be a clerk.
