I am not saying having "fun" with a holiday isn't something I do...or expect others not to do... I enjoy most holidays and indulge in the festivities. But...I have known friends and family members who literally live from one holiday to the next. Some take a month just to decorate for Christmas(!). I have a friend (who by the way owns her own successful company). On the side...she has a tuff shed full of Halloween decorations. Another houses her Christmas stuff...then another for Valentines Day, et. al. If she isn't workin, she is celebratin...or plannin. It is all she talks about during visits. She only talks about her family and friends in how they relate to the holiday coming up.... Think that is absurd? Think about the people you know.

I wonder if I could convince my wife to put up Easter decorations for Christmas. Of course, we'd have to get Easter decorations. We decorate for Halloween and Christmas. There is always an American flag on our house. July 4th and the rest of the year too.

I'm cool with an American flag graphic on a shirt or a hat. The caps work issues us have little flag tags on the back. Wearing red, white and blue in a flag like pattern is ok. It usually looks like junk but, I'm no fashionista anyway.

Draping a flag on yourself and parading around with it like a dress or a cloak is in poor taste.

CG, it sometimes takes us a month just to take down the Christmas tree!

I used to a lot more decorating while Ellie was growing up--it was fun for her. Now I just decorate with flowers.
