MamaJean Hot Button Moderator Registered: 12/31/08 Loc: Under a Magnolia	I don't believe all credit unions are as you have experienced. Finding a strong based one is key. State Credit Union in our area has been here for a very long time. We are discussing moving our accounts there. We are with SunTrust and are shocked that while building one new bank in town, they are shutting both existing banks down before the new one is even close to being finished. NICE customer service! The nearest branch to use the meantime is 25 minutes from my home. I saw today a story about the call to "move your money" to smaller community banks to fight back against the corporate companies. Although there were also comments to the effect that some smaller banks are still folding due to default loans. Credit Unions still might be the best bet! _________________________ Uh...Is it just me...or?
