aus22 loyal member Registered: 11/19/01 Loc: Melbourne. Australia	I am sorry for you but there is no recession in Australia. Unemployment is very low and hous prices very high. I hope we do not get caught in a double dip as China has warned.

That $49.00 airfare can quickly metamorphosis into over $200.00 for a single one way flight....as I recently discovered. Add ons include - luggage, a choice of seat, water, snacks, taxes, fees....et al. lizbeth loyal member Registered: 11/29/06 Loc: PNW	We've experienced something that I find rather disconcerting--tradespeople going door to door asking for work. We've had a house painter and a window installer. While the house does need to be painted, we just had a new roof installed and need a breather before we take on another big expenditure. It's sad--and I would like to help--but where are the people who'll mow the lawn and do some weeding. We need and can afford that. _________________________ Tomorrow's just your future yesterday. According to my neighbors, that kind of thing was going on in this neighborhood for a few years before we moved here. Many of these homes were built in the mid 70s to mid 80s. They're at that age where they need work and so many updates have come out too. We get roofers, lawn guys, lawn chemical guys and remodel offers here all the time.
