I don't agree with politicians using their own kids as something to get a point across. I guess I can call the First Lady a politician?

I haven't found the article, there was no link. If Michelle Obama believes her daughters are too heavy, she'll deal with it, without starving them. Both Michelle and Barack Obama are tall; both girls are growing. The older girl will go into a growth 'spurt' where she'll use what she has to grow taller. The younger girl will do the same. I don't see where either girl can be considerd 'obese.'

If Michelle Obama needs to take on a 'cause' and that cause is childhood obesity and if she uses her own children as an example it only shows to go, to me, that she's willing to compare her very normal children to the 200lb 14yr old in order to prove a point.

"What are you, parents, going to do for your kids who've gone beyond the borderline?"

In my town we have a community center with a park and a gym that has low membership fees. They offer a weight room and exercise routines like aerobics, pilates, step class and more. We also have a park with a 1 mile loop for walking, jogging, running and biking. There's a skateboard park here too and kids sometimes ride BMX type bikes in it. There's also a long bike path that goes through a few towns. I see more proper sized kids around here than fat ones.
