According to what I read, the President's plan will be less expensive--although how much less isn't known now since the Pentagon has already been developing plans for the Bush scheme.

I never really understood from the beginning, why the former president wanted the 'shield.' None of them really work the way they're hyped up to work. And, while the governments of Poland and Czechoslovakia may have wanted the additional revenue, the people didn't. I think they'll be pleased with the President's decision.

Of course, the Republicans won't be, but that's to be expected. I wonder if they'll organize a 'hate making' series of protests as they did before any health care reform plan was finally announced?

I'm really terrified now that Venezuela will take over America and I'll have to learn Spanish. But I lived in New York, so I already speak Spanish. But I'm scared. And my Russian won't help when Chavez is in the White House.

Ray forgot to mention the domino theory. That's the theory that says while neocons keep talking doomsday, which they've been doing ceaselessly since 1946, albeit not then called neocons, the rest of us might just as well play dominoes, because Russia isn't coming here, and Venezuela isn't coming here, and Iran isn't coming here.
