Yesterday, we took and unplugged ? parts of the computer
and put the disc in and , did have no idea what to do ?
So my husband said lets put it all back so he can call out.
well the guy tried to talk us through it. Only said some one
did not put back some thing when we had the mother board fixed.
or replace what ever that was about, [back a few months ago]
The man, said he would try to find out about the dsl ? for
us . My husband told him what the AT&T told us , they had it.
So we are still waiting.

Yes, when they replaced your motherboard, they might not have put the phone modem back in your computer. In many instances, the modem will be built right into your motherboard, but it sounds like the new one you have didn't have it so you need a little card that plugs into the mobo that will allow you to plug your phone line into it. It's an easy install and modems are dirt cheap since nobody really uses them any more.

How good are lap tops ?
You do not have to have a provider for them do you ?
What do you use in place of the mouse ?
And can we still you the copy machine with it ?

3. Laptops generally have a touch pad along with an eraser head type mouse in the middle of the keyboard(I like to call it, "the nipple"). You can always plug a USB mouse into your laptop.
4. Yes, you can use your printer with it as long as the printer doesn't have the old serial port connection. If the printer is newer than 10 years old or so, you should be all set.
