You mean kinda like what a handful of conservative-minded posters here at Fool Moon have been doing for the last ten years or so, and nobody in the FM admin. dept. (with the possible exception of Helice) ever really called their hand until here recently? For a while there the Town Hall section of Fool Moon looked more like something on the Fox News site or some other flag-waving gun-brandishing conservative rantfest.

Look, a preacher who asks his congregation to wear their guns to church is asking to be criticized, vilified, ridiculed, etc. It doesn't matter if he's from rural Kentucky or Southern California. Kentucky stupid is not that much different from California stupid is it? It's like asking the guests at a big church wedding to bring along some hookers and a case of condoms.

Both Von Brunn and Richard Poplawski (shot 3 policemen in Pittsburg) had ties to RW white supremacist organizations and anti-Semitic organizations. Poplawski believed the RW legend that Obama Admin. was out to grab his guns. Many of the so-called conservative commentators on radio and TV had been harping on the Obama gun grab for weeks prior to both these shootings.

The shooting was 2 months after the DHS (Homeland Sec.)report on the increase in right wing extremism in America. This report was immediately attacked by most of the conservative commentators who saw the report as an attack on conservatives. But when Fox's Shepard Smith said the report was "..a warning to us all. And it appears now they were right." , his fellow conservative commentators turned on him.

But then look what happens next...the conservative media attempts to shift the blame onto the left and the Obama Admin. Radio host Jim Lacamp goes on Fox and says, " We have an admin. that's really done a lot of class warfare- a lot of class-baiting. And so it sets the stage for social unrest."

Michael Savage said that Obama "..is most certainly creating a climate of hate against Jews."

Colorado's conservative Bob Newman had the longest stretch when he claimed that Obama's visit to the concentration camp in Europe might well have been a factor in the shooting. And conservative Tommy Bruce wrote that the Obama Admin's increasing anti-Israel rhetoric and the "...pandering to the Jew-hating arab world encourages the beasts among us." So, according to these guys, President Obama is the blame for these murders.

It wasn't because they were both regular listeners to some of the conservative rant radio programs...it was that uppity Obama making a big deal over some dead Jews that pushed them over the edge...uh-huh.

Arch-conservative Bill O'Reilly donated more time to a story on "gay penguins" than the Brunn shooting. Why? Because he had a feeling it was very likely that one of his listeners was the shooter. Gay penguins trumps right-wing killers every time.

On a March 31 edit. of Fox News program with Neil Cavuto, Dick Morris, a Fox News contributor, said.."Those crazies in Montana who say, 'We're going to kill ATF Agents because the U.N.'s going to take over'...well, they're beginning to have a case." That sounds to me a lot like Morris is advising some non-leftist out there that it would be perfectly understandable if they went out and shot a few ATF Agents.

There's a telling video on youtube about this. Title is "Shepard Smith calls out more and more frightening Fox e-mails."

Smith reads some of the hate e-mails he got from Fox listeners for straying from the official party line. I don't think many of the rants were from socialist-minded lefties. Take a listen. "Feeding off each other"..."getting the gun out" etc. The usual RW conservative Republican propaganda drivelfest.

Brunn was sentenced to 11 years (served 6 1/2) for attempting to kidnap members of the Federal Reserve. In 1999 he wrote a book "Kill the Best Gentiles" which blamed the Jews for the general destruction of the Democratic West. The book was dedicated to Neo-Nazi racists Revilo Oliver and Wilmot Robertson.

Brunn was once employed by Noontide Press which is associated with (or part of) the Holocaust-denying Institute of Historical Review. Up until, or shortly before he was arrested for murdering the museum guard, Brunn ran a website called holy western empire dot com which was listed in 2008 as a hate site by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

According to the SPLC, the site is now run by Steve Reimink who acquired the domain from Brunn. Brunn also was chummy with Captain Eric H. May who allegedly is/was a veteran of the Baghdad, Iraq Battle, a former correspondent for "The Lone Star Iconoclast", a former Army intel. officer, and founder of the "Ghost Troop" which fancies itself/themselves as some type of cyber intel. unit which investigates something they refer to as "soft false flag operations"...whatever that is. Btw, the impressive uniform-wearing Captain's website often refers to Obama as "Bush in Black Face" or "Black Bush." Apparently they hated Bush too.

So it's not as if Brunn was just some fringe slacker who suddenly became enraged by President Obama's policies and decided to go out and shoot someone (which is basically what Glenn Beck and a few of the other pseudo-conservative talk show celebrities are claiming).

Beck & his guests once claimed (on Fox air) that Hitler and the Nazi party were made up of mostly left-wingers, and that Obama and his bailouts and socialistic policies were fueling anger around the country and causing unstable violent (right-wing?) individuals to resort to shootings as a means of protest. Got all that straight yet, Dax? Armed rightwing crackpots are killing innocent people because they are angry at Obama and the lefty liberals. Is that not some rich spin or what?

Beck and his hand-picked puppet guests all cheerily agreed from the gitgo that the Nazis were leftists (just like Obama and Pelosi no doubt) which, according to Professor Palermo, must be a huge disappointment to a lot of he-man white supremacists and Neo-Nazis, not to mention the occasional hate-addled stray Klu Klucker (or Montana Freemen) who might be hording Nazi propaganda leaflets and apoca-tracts, Hitler pics, and sundry SS memorabilia.

Imagine, all those angry white guys out there in the Hinterland who've been scratching their asses with one hand and hailing Hitler with the other because they thought Adolf and his goons were so quick to kick some leftist socialist Bolshevik commie butt...and now to be told that the Fuhrer was a limp-wristed leftist! To quote Marlon Brando (and Col. Kurtz)..."{{{{{{The Horror}}}}}}"

What it is...(according to Palermo) is just another one of numerous "..ingenious ways to denounce Obama because he's black but in ways that don't sound racist." I'm not so sure I agree with that theory. I think they KNOW for certain that the far right extremists are getting out of hand and might actually become a real National Security threat, and THEY are in large part responsible for it.

Suppose there's another Ok. City Fed. Building bombing and they find out it wasn't Muslims but another home grown Tim McVeigh domestic terrorists instead? Would they try and blame it on Obama and the left as well? [Oh, btw, Hitler was also a creationist, not a Darwinist. See "Mein Kempf" Vol. 2, Chapter 10].

According to many sources, but I will quote CNN:

"The FBI says it found child pornography on a computer used by the man charged with the fatal shooting of a security guard at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum June 10."

So we're not really dealing with an idealist or hero of any kind here.
