I am not very comfortable with plans that were recently announced regarding auto emissions.... Down the road I can see the oil companies and auto makers still creaming off and the little guy paying through his nose.
If the increase in cost of a car is now estimated at 1300 dollars it most likely will be considerably more in 6 or 7 years. If the savings on money spent at the pump should actually happen and you save about 12 dollars a month you would have to hang on to the car for 10 years to make up the projected 1300 dollars you spent more.
In 6 years down the road China will have done a number on the atmosphere that our best efforts cannot remove.
There is a lot a good will in DC these days but is there also the profound knowledge present which is key to such an enormous plan?
