You're right, Stone, when you say:

We are very quick to judge on very little evidence, aren't we? And yet, and yet...Someone in this story has to be very aware and very sensitive to the word.
We don't know how he followed up on what he wrote. It could have been the merits of Obama as a presidential candidate dispite the fact that he's mixed race. It could have been a discussion of the Civil Rights Movement. We don't know.
But we can surmise, since one or more of his pupils 'ratted him out,' that those students were offended by what he'd written--and, possibly, by how he followed up on it.
I tend to think, since he was 'sentenced' to diversity and sensitivity training, that he was following his own agenda--an absolute no-no imho.
