The intelligent adult in me wonders just what they would be doing at the emergency meeting of the G7...I suspect it would be reviewing the various multilateral and bilateral relationships with Russia. Your mileage may vary.

...and the mere fact that the group is referred to as the "G-7" as opposed to the "G-8" would indicate a suggestion of action beyond "discussion." That would seem to indicated a desire to kick someone out of the club. Hmmm! (scratches chin) I wonder who?

McCain stated that it was a mistake to delay Georgia's entry into NATO. Of course,McCain knwoing this also knows if Georgia has been a member of NATO, the U.S. would have been compelled to defend Georgia and possibly go to war against Russia under the "an attack on one is an attack on all" provision of Article 5 of the Treaty.

Of Course Obama (who is a member of mensa....wonder what his IQ is LM?) suggested that "We should also convene other international forums to condemn this aggression, to call for an immediate halt to the violence, and to review multilateral and bilateral arrangements with Russia - including Russia's interest in joining the World Trade Organization."

It doesn take courage to place the United States in a position where it is compelled to respond militarily to any Russian actions against Urkaine or Georgia. All it takes is stupidity.
