I am sure many people all over the world have smiles on their faces after watching Usain Bolt showing the world what it's like to be god blessed. Usain Bolt has ensured that these Olympics will go down in history. Let's pray there are no illegal drugs involved. Who would have ever believed that you would have heard dance hall music from Jamaica in China.

I'm past my curfew, Cass, but I just watched the 100m I couldn't help but say that this moment is wonderful.

I watched that Bolt kid last night, the speed is crazy. I don't see anybody beating him for a while.

Bolt is fantastically quick, there can be no doubting that. I, too, hope that no PEDs are involved. Jamaica have done fantastically well in the sprints, with the women taking a 1-2-3 in their 100 metres.



That was already pretty assured, with Michael Phelps taking 8 golds in the Water Cube.

I read today that he would have been even faster had both his shoes been tied.

And, despite his posturing for the cameras before the race, his pride in Jamaica was certainly evident when he raised his country's flag over his head.

And even with the shoe thing he was impressive. Shutting things down early and still setting a world record in the 100 meter sprint final is just unheard of. Lightning Bolt is something special.

I agree, but he sure is full of himself. Confidence is key but give it a break, he was celebrating before he even crossed the finished line.

He's definitely very fast, so fast in fact he doesn't have to try hard but being arrogant just turned me off.

And I don't think the world saw 'magic'.

Great for Jamaica but I'm sure there are plenty of faster men running from police here in Detroit.

Hi Sleek and Lizbeth I agree Usain Bolt is super fast and he will not be beaten for years,as long as he stays fit.I think he may break the 200 metres world record we shall see.

Point taken but I would like to add that Michael Phelps is an outstanding athlete but he was only following in the footsteps of Mark Spitz another great athlete,Usain Bolt has done something that no other sprinter has ever done before,and it's the manner in which he did it,that's what marks out and makes his performance different and special.
