Hello! First off, I don't know if this is the exact place for this topic, but I think it is... here goes:

I'm a Cristian, just not as believing as I should be anymore.
I'm loosing it here guys.
All of my family have been into this... heck, 99% of them are even in the Salvation Army... I'm the only one that's not... me and my dad, that is.
I do, however, know allot of people in the SA. They are, obviously christians, and some of them claim to have had Jesus stand before them...
Now, I'm GUESSING he talks to them... telling them stuff... like "No worries, I've got fleas too" (a very bad example, but yeah).

Anyways, I have a few things to discuss with this guy... or even god if possible.
See, I've grown tired of that guy... both of them. I hear all around me that people are getting in touch with them... being "salvated" and so on...
Don't get me wrong... I'm sure they've got toher things to worry about, than my problems... but hey, if they can respond to other people, then why can't they respond to me?
I'd like a simple explenation of this... why am I not liked?
Heck, my life sucks...
I don't really get anything I want...
And I mean anything...
I know this good song... "Stepping Out"...
The lyrics goes like "... So tired of all the darkness in my liiife" see, that's EXACTLY what I am. Then, they go like "Stepping into the light... intoo the liiiight! Stepping out tonight!" I need that. Very, VERY badly.
I KNOW that someone up there, are making my life totally miserable.
I also know that I'm here for a purpose... I'm supposed to do something big with my life... something important.
But still, why can't I get SOME kind of motivation to fulfill gods big plan?!
I mean, I've always had this knowledge that I'm meant to do something VERY important... I don't know WHAT exactly just yet, but I know it's important to that guy up there somehow.

What I'd like to talk to him about, is simply, my life... I wouldn't need to know my purpose... I just need to know WHY they must make my life so miserable... Sure, it has it's good sides, but those good sides are usually be littered by the bad sides. A little too much.

I'd like to have one of them appear infront of me... soon... to talk... it wouldn't take too long... I'd just need a few answers... heck, I may even need to know one...
I just want to talk...
so, I'm actualy asking any of you, if you know how I may summon him... so I can visibly see him, like my friends has, please tell me how...
Or even, if you think it might help, would you be so kind to pray for me?

As you may have seen from my post, I'm pretty unexperienced in this...
Though, I'm only a 17 year old boy, so I should be excused.

So, people... I might save you one day... but right now, I am the one that needs to be saved. Please help me... please help me reach Jesus... or God. Please help me find answers to my questions.

Welcome to FoolMoon. You have a very interesting request which, whether or not you know it, everyone who is drawn to The Creator experiences. The Bible talks about that in regard to all those who were called to do His work on this earth, just as you are being called. Everyone who is called has important work to do ahead of them if they are willing to accept that call.

You wrote: You can do this at any time and in any place. The Creator is willing to listen to all your concerns. You have nothing new that He hasn't heard already so He knows what is required to help you. But the thing is it is His will that you are to know your purpose. In fact it is important to Him that you discover His purpose for you. But it takes time and work.

It may not be 'they' that are making your life miserable. There are others who are very willing to do that to you.

The conversation we can have with Them some days seems to be one way but if we sincerely accept Their calling and start talking to Them through prayer and then letting Them talk to us through the pages of the Bible we can soon see how a two-way conversation opens up. Again it isn't easy but most things that are important requires elbow grease to obtain them.

Then one day, if we are diligent with our calling, the floodgates open and through the introduction of the Holy Spirit within us our lives are renewed to the reality of our Creators' purpose for us. Those things that are miserable will still be with us but they will pale into insignificance when we discover The Creators' purpose for our lives.

At 17 you are not too young or inexperienced to begin to find this all out. In fact the sooner you begin, the more time you will be able to enjoy your calling once you discover your purpose in life.

Here on FoolMoon there are different individuals who have wide ranging views on what one should be doing in your position. They will be able to contribute their ideas in keeping with their beliefs. It is up to you to decide which are the correct ones to follow and through prayer, Bible study and the will of The Creators for you, you will be able to find your way.

It begins with prayer and Bible study considering the calling that you received. My hope for you is only for the best and good of The Creators. You are in my prayers.

First of all GOD / JESUS does not stand in front of you
that you can see HIM !
You can feel at times you have the right answer , and that
is by faith and faith alone !
I am not saying HE cant do this !!!! HE may on special
reasons . HE is GOD and can do any thing HE wants

What GOD of the bible wants of us is to keep in HIS word
"bible" and keep reading and learning.
And then we will make our own decisions which will be the
right ones.
GOD knows we slip from time to time !
But as long as you have faith and believe and try to do
your best ! He knows what you are going to do before
you do it and knows when your talking out of both sides
of your mouth !
You cant fool HIM ...............
So if you love HIM and believe in HIM, and growing in HIS
word , every thing will be OK.

The Cat-Man, Welcome to this forum. As DcinC you will encounter here people of different religions. You will find wisdom in all beliefs. I am a Catholic but I do not expect you to beome a Catholic.

Start from what you know. You said your family are members of the Salvation Army. Yo have rejected some of their beliefs. Why have you done this ,is it just you do not like certain members , or you disagree with their doctrines. If it is doctrine try and find out why they believe this doctrines. If you can not accept their explanation than move on but keep what you agree with.

One area you seem to have trouble with is

Perhaps rather than Guess you should ask them do they see Jesus, Do they speak to Him and does he answer them. There are a few Christians who claim they have seen Jesus face to face. There are few of these but I would not dismiss their claims without further investigation. Many Mystics and saints have made this claim.The Apostles and many people in the Bible have claim this.. However few today have claim to see jesus in the flesh.
Many see him in in symbols like the Cross, The Bible or the Host. Some claim to have seen him in other persons, the poor or very good men. This is how I have seen Jesus in other people I met.

Most Christians talk to Him. This we call prayer. Does he answer us. Some say He does in a literal way. Others claim he does through events in ther lives. There are coincidences or miracles that have no other explanation except they must come from God.

These experiences can be found in many churches or denominations. Search them until you find one that suits you. It might take a lifetime but God only requires you to Search. You are only 17 at that age I had few answers even although I went to Church. This is a time of confusion where we can feel misrable. However life usually gets better. The important thing is to search for the good. You may not find it yet but you will one day.In the meantime just pray and try and do good. You may not know the purpose of your life yet. But ther is a purpose. You may one day teach others. Good luck.

God doesn't usually appear Himself to people and chat with them. He seems to be more of a delegator, someone who sends a message through another person or through the Bible, to answer a person's question. When Christians say that they have received an answer from God, more often than not that answer has come to them through someone else, sometimes through an angel even!

God given answers to your questions are available... you don't really think you are the first person to encounter these situations, do you! lol We all have the problem of pain; how we can choose to let the bad things in life overshadow the good. The answer here is to count your blessings. WE chose for ourselves whether we will focus on the good, or on the bad. The glass can either be half full or half empty, depending on how we choose to see it. What this means is that we change ourselves instead of trying to change our circumstances. We become content with the life we have, realizing that we are powerless to change the whole system, and just accept the good things that come along and ignore the bad.

As we change ourselves though, we also gain the power to change our surroundings. We can learn how to avoid the pain and unpleasentness; at the same time we are also learning how not to let the pain bother us. It's a double edged sword, really!

This is the mystery of the spiritual journey. "Why" it all has to be this way is beyond me! But there is a path to peace and contentment, if you will just seek. Spiritual answers come in a form that's much deeper than words can explain. So having a short chat with God isn't really going to get you very far, unless it gives you the peace to know that this difficult road is one you really MUST travel on.

I would first like to say you are on the right path. You are starting to ask questions. That's what all of us need to do in some aspect.

We need to question and even challenge the Creator of this universe, that's the only way we will get answers we need for our lives.

Ask the questions you need, demand an answer from this Universe, and don't stop demanding until you get an answer, channel your anger and desperation into a possitive search for answers.

And I will almost be willing to say the Creator will hear you my friend because it's a part (spark) from the Creator that dwells with in you ( Within all of us ) that hears you and gives you your answers. The world and the universe will give you what you think,feel, and believe you are.

And you say what are you? You are a human being with his own special purpose, and nobody else can tell you what it is or what you should be doing, that's between you and the Creator, nobody else.

You're only 17? That's good you're starting on you path at the right time.

Remeber one thing though, even those who take the high road will face difficulties, and it's the trials and tribulations in our live that makes us strong. You'll be okay.
