Are there any neocons here who who have been offended, and who can take time away from their attentions to their photos of Dick Cheney to respond?

I think perhaps the terms "neocons" and "neoaristocracy" might be interchangable, but for the fact that neoconservatives only embrace the ideology of the very rich, even if they themselves are not wealthy and that ideology is actually against their own selft-interests.

How many people has Dax described as a "Neo-con" besides ME? Here, let me give you an example of what I'm talking about.

Posting #1: "Boy, Helice. You're a Chat Community Administrator!"

Posting #2 (somewhat later): "Boy! Those Chat Community Administrators sure are a bunch of evil bastards, every last damned one of them.

Posting #3 (still later) "Wow! What are complaining about, Helice? I never called you any names!"

I think it's all part of the rewriting-history-as-you-go syndrome. Like I say, Lawmage, don't reply in kind or it's YOU who will be slapped down as the name-caller.

I stopped in US customs....exports the other day. On the wall were pics of Bush and Cheney. In the past, I only remember seeing pics of just the President in government buidlings...so it surprised me to see Cheney's photo...the one where he appears to be snarling! Maybe I just missed Gore's photo, but if my memory serves me correct, I only remember Clinton's with other government officicals pics being placed not equal but in smaller and descending order. Cheney's oic is equal to Bush's..of course we know whyand how...

The problem with your analogy, Ray, is that I agree with the characterization of me as "Chat Community Administrator". I understand what the nature of the label implies. It is a job position requiring management skills and judgment. Some perform it well and some do not.

"neocon" has a different definition and holds vastly different implications. If that label had been applied to you and you did not accept the label, your analogy would never have proceeded to your step 2. Do you accept the label "neocon" as one that describes you well?

The simple point is, I think Dax is full of shit when he says McCain does not support the troops. More to the point, I think Dax knows damn well that McCain does indeed support the troops and he makes that false claim to further his anti-Republican political agenda.

The problem with your analogy is that you are conveniently forgetting expressed definition of "Chat Community Administrator" just the same way you are pretending that the term "neo-con" stands alone, without acknowledging the various and sundry descriptions of "Neo-con" supplied by Dax.

So if you accept the characterization of "Chat Community Administrator" does this also mean you're accepting my description of Administrators as well?

Dax supplied his definitions very clearly. If he applied this well-defined label to you, with all of its negative associations, did you accept or reject the label as being appropriate for defining who you are and what you stand for? Will you please make that clear now, if you haven't in the past? Do you agree that you are, in fact, a neocon as Dax defines one?

As for me, I accept the label of "Chat Community Administrator". I can point out many example of others with this title who perform well, and others who perform poorly. Therefore your generalization of the entire group breaks down. My label is dependent upon performance. "Neocon" is dependent on ideolo9gy.


Lawmage, forget about shit for a moment, and who is full of it, because shit is in the eye of the beholder. Can you give some thought to McCain's vote against funding the bill for medical care for veterans and comment on why this was good for "the troops"? Thanks.

I just wish McCain would show his support for the troops enough not to have Joe Leiberman "dog whisper" in his ear..."al queda are not Iranians". You would think McCain would care enough to understand the politics of the region that effect our troops...

Perhaps the masturbating to a picture of Dick Cheney image was a bit overboard. I'm sure that not every single neocon in America does that. I'm almost positive.
