August 1, 2008 represents the 20th anniversary of Rush Limbaugh's "Excellence in Broadcasting Network" and in honor of the event, the Limbaugh staff have official opened the Limbaugh Museum of Broadcasting. Fans of Limbaugh will find it amusing while liberals will, well, they'll foam at the mouth as usual. Showing a photo of Limbaugh to a liberal is like waving a crucifix at a vampire.

Not really. That would only be true if Limbaugh sent searing pain through the physical being of your ficticious immortal vampire-liberal. Christian symbolism notwithstanding, most liberals, although they think Limbaugh is a political hack water carrier for the neocons, don't really care enough about him to click on his site.

I'm speaking for myself, of course, but I'm sure others will agree. Limbaugh is indeed successful, but so what, really? More power to him. Of course, he gives voice to the most obnoxious and anti-people values of the neoCons, and there are many bitter and hateful people, some left in despair by the economic ruin perpetrated on this country by the people Limbaugh defends, to make up his audience.

Fine. This is America. Screw Rush Limbaugh, am I right, people?

Has Limbaugh's message changed over the years? I mean both in delivery and in content.

Well, for one thing, he no longer suggests that users of illegally obtained prescription drugs be immediately jailed and the key thrown away.

Its interesting how anyone who ever disagrees with a Leftist is labelled a liar and yet Leftists who fabricate things are not liars...they are just creative.

I think Stone was speaking specifically of Rush Limbaugh as being a lying scumbag, and not of everyone who disagrees with leftists.

I find his statement a truthful expression of his sentiments, and while the charge of "scumbag" can never be proven as it's a subjective opinion, the lying part is certainly factual.

And with three or four ex-wives on his tab, he probably doesn't get to keep all of the millions, he probably has to dole out a little each month.

Nothing is as perfect as it seems.
