That's true, but your suggestion was that no Conservative would vote for Obama because Obama is liberal, rather than because he is black, therefore all racist votes must come from liberals, not conservatives.

Not really. What my statements are intended to show is that "racism" isn't the exclusive property of Republicans or Democrats. It is preemptive to point out that just because someone votes for the white candidate rather than vote for the black candidate, that doesn't necessarily mean there was racism involved. That's what Obama supporters will try to sell us on; if we don't want to vote for Obama that must indicate some insidious hate crime in the making. But it's simply not so.

You can decide you don't like the political platform being espoused by a certain candidate, and that has nothing to do with the color of the candidate's skin. It has to do with you not liking his politics. Would it be fair to say that African Americans choosing not to vote for John McCain are doing it for racial reasons? Of course not.
