There are currently 10 recognized third parties in the US, plus the Independents. Far from saying that those parties ideas should be stifled, I've maintained that their platforms should be heard by, at least, the two major candidates. I doubt very seriously that The Boston Tea Party or The Prohibition Party, for example, would have much to say--or that any of the Socialist parties would have much new to say--but they have put up the money to file and to provide web sites. Since they have some kind of following, I would hope the two leaders at least looked at their web pages.
