Yes, I'm well aware of that, my question then becomes... My, my, my! Isn't THIS quite the admission. "Oh well, yes, I admit I WAS blatantly lying about what John McCain said, so let me see if I can pretend it never happened and move on to another lie by implication avenue of attack."If the German government, or the government of S. Korea asked us to leave, we would. The same doesn't hold true for Iraq. And you "know" this, how?

What a terrible distortion of my posts and what I actually said. Just horrible verbal fiction. Wake up. Read the words I say, not the words in your head. You were perfectly willing to go along insinuating that John McCain had said he wouldn't have any problem with the War in Iraq going on for a hundred years. THEN, when you get your nose rubbed in the truth you are forced to admit McCain never said any such thing, and further you admit you knew it all along. Those were your words. "I know that." Now you want to defame me for pointing out what some of us knew all along; you were intentionally lying (through implication) about what John McCain said. Careful Dax. You're going to violate the "intelligent adult" part of the forums motto. _________________________ Swiftboating = Catching a liberal in a lie and pointing it out to others.

What a fascinating story. Particularly this part: In his book, Suskind writes that Tenet gave Rob Richer, the CIA's former head of the Near East division and deputy director of clandestine operations, the fake letter during a fall 2003 meeting. Suskind quotes Richer as saying, "George said something like, 'Well, Marine, I've got a job for you, though you may not like it.'"
Suskind wrote that "Richer remembers looking down at the creamy White House stationery on which the assignment was written." He quotes Richer as saying, "This was creating a deception." Wow! Not only was this super-secret mission to deceive the American public handed to the CIA in writing, but "on creamy White House stationery" no less. I'll be curious to hear how this one turns out.
