I've been playing Fish Tycoon, from Last Day of Work, for several months now on my Palm Z22.
Fish Tycoon is an aquarium simulator. The object of the game is to hatch and cross breed fish in 3 aquariums until you create all 7 magic fish. Your fish can be sold in the 3rd tank which is the fish store. The more exotic the fish, the higher the sale price.
Each magic fish gives bonuses to the aquarium it is in. Bonuses range from improved disease resistance, stamina, birth rate, how long they can go between feedings and one fish causes a pregnant fish to give birth to a fish not related to either parent.
Money earned from fish sales is used to buy fish medicine, tank upgrades, advertising for your store and more exotic fish eggs. I don't know if there is a money cap, but I've had around $20,000.
This is a fun little game on the Palm Z22 when I want to take a quick break from work and occupy myself for a few minutes with something else. It is not at all fast paced, even on fast speed. Eggs take time to hatch and fish take time to grow. They do grow old, but do not die of old age; only sickness and starvation. Thankfully, the free fish food never runs out.
The game does run non-stop unless paused. Actually, I think it just calculates a new set of values based on your last actions each time the game is started. It doesn't seem to draw down my battery as if it's always on and 'runs' while the PDA is off.
The graphics are seriously lacking on the Palm Z22. This entry level PDA is really not made to be a high graphics device. Some of the PC (or MAC) features are also absent on the PDA. Screen shots of the 'real computer' version have the game looking better than any aquarium screen saver. Very nice.
All in all, if you like simulation games and want something to casually play now and again, this is a neat little game. Unless paused though, you will have to tend to your fish at least once a day. It, like several LDW games, has a small cult like following so you can find hints and complete walk-throughs on the web.
One more fish! I just need one more fish!
