We have been learned by a leftist controlled congress that red is green and wrong is right.
If you truly believe that, you aren't fit to be a selectman. Nobody with an ounce of credibility would claim that the newly controlled Democratic congress is responsible for the woes this country is facing. I know you do believe it, because all during the administration's telling us lie after lie, you believed that. So there's no reason why you wouldn't believe the swill you've just spouted. Read something. Open your eyes and look around. It's not about "we're neocons so we must always be right" it's about what's really true. Not that it would matter when you clearly think what you've posted makes any political sense at all. Green is red my ass. All that means is that you're profoundly color blind.

When JFK wanted America to go to the moon, and requested a program that would get us there, it happened.
If the will of the leadership and the will of the people are as one, almost any kind of "miracle" can be accomplished.
But I'm afraid Americans today are so cynical about Bush's eight years they no longer have the will to get behind anything except their own tax cuts.
People who can afford yachts, or who can afford SUVs and the gas needed to run them, don't really care. They're fine. It's the rest of us who bear the burden of the higher gas prices and the concommitant rise is prices across the board, along with the tumbling of the stock market and the dollar.
This is Bush's doing. And if he were in office for a third term he'd keep doing it. The American people don't care any more. Hell, some of them even defend Bush and still think he's doing a great job. People like Matt blame the Democratic congress for everythng except the serpent in the garden of Eden (which was God's fault, not the liberals).
This has made politics (or rather the right wing has made politics) an ideological, partisan struggle. The neo cons would find fault with any and every Dem proposal, good or bad, right or wrong, no matter what it was because they are not people with brains and the ability to reason, they are ideologues. Their thinking only kicks in when they see a dollar sign or when they observe a homosexual granted human rights.
You can see it right here on this board. When have the neocons among us ever said one good thing about the Dems. The best they can do is, like Matt does, blame them for George Bush.
Aus: Yes, I love Melbourne Bitter, it's one of the best of the Aussie beers I've had.
