All of a sudden, the New York Times is your Bible and every word they print is gospel. Why is that? You've done nothing but bash the Times as a liberal, leftist, elitist paper, and suddenly you're quoting it.
Well, you know what they say. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. Besides, I not suggesting in the slightest that I think the New York Times is any LESS of a left-wing, faintly treasonous house organ for the Democratic Party than I thought they were last week. I merely left a link to their story about Rush Limbaugh and started the thread just to watch you lefties go into spasms denigrating him.
The reason I found the New York Times Magazine story was because Limbaugh linked to it on his web site; he announced the story of his contract renewal today.

You quote, and use for your own purposes, a newspaper you despise.
You don't have the high ground when you cite a paper you have constantly denigrated. It's the fine-tuned hypicrisy of the right that says "whatever we say is good is good." It's the kind of blind ideology that made Bush such a horror to anyone with more than half a brain. It is why fewer and fewer people listen when the Gingrich's of the world talk.
Yes, a stopped clock is right twice a day, which is more than I can say for the neo cons.

Does your novelty shop sell that bumper sticker next to the "Limbaugh's Audience is Shrinking" bumper sticker? Gosh! I'll bet you sell a ton of those to Al Franken's fan base.

If Obama is elected, Rush will be more popular than ever, which is why I urge Conservatives who like Rush to vote for Obama.
Why "if Obama is elected?" In August Rush Limbaugh will celebrate his 20th year as a national talk-show host. During that time we've had two Republican presidents and one Democrat. His audience has steadily grown through all of it, not JUST when the Democrat was president.
Suffice it to say the lunatic left provides plenty of fodder, in or out of office.

Shouldn't Rush pick up Hillary's campaign debt? Since Clinton continued to play Limbaugh's game wouldn't it be fare for Old Money Bags to write her a check for her "personal campaign loan" (Close to 12 million)?

I'm afraid in your case the answer is "yes."
You called me a traitor (comparing me to Lord Haw Haw, the American born British broadcaster of Nazi Propaganda during WWII who was hanged in 1946) because you disagreed with some idea of mine. And I'm not even a liberal, I just support some of their positions.
So to paraphrase a neocon friend of mine "You can always tell what neocons say when they tell you what they didn't say.

I'm sorry. I must have misunderstood the question. I thought Chocolategenii was asking me a general question concerning the allegiances of people who tend to be politically liberal. In which case I may not agree with their politics all the time, some of the time, but not all the time. But I understand they, like me, are merely wanting what they think to be the best for their country which they care about.
You probably thought we were talking about those lunatics who secretly (and sometimes quite openly) despise their country due to its affluence or power or something. They exhibit a great deal of self-loathing associated being Americans. They may have a social security number and other documentation that might prove they are citizens of the United States, but in a deeper, aesthetic sense, they are far from being Americans. More correctly they would be described as anti-Americans.
