I actually think that Rush is "smart" enough to be secretely laughing at his listeners for taking him seriously and being sooooo gullible.

What I find so interesting is that Myrddin, and lots of other leftists, automatically label Rush's broadcasts as garbage. He is dismissed out off hand. They would have you believe EVERYTHING the man says is some sort of lie. CG would have you believe all his listeners are somehow of subpar intelligence because they listen to the man. Hell, she goes so far as to tell us his program is hate speech... Why is that? I do not believe its because his show is really garbage or that everything he says is a lie. I think it is far more likely that in typical leftist fashion, anything that does not comport with their version of the way things ought to be is garbage ridden lies...

Oh, of course not. I just put this posting up here because, in fact, it really puts a stake in the hearts of all those who have been crowing (incorrectly it seems) about how Rush Limbaugh is fading away and losing audience and losing his popularity and yada, yada, yada. And I knew it would draw a crowd of left-wingers tossing doo-doo around at Limbaugh and his audience.

In your case, Myddin, you're not foaming, just certain in your heart that those who might not agree with your political beliefs must have something wrong with their intelligence. They are living in fantasy. Naturally, were I to make any references to "liberal elitism" you would vehemently (foamily?) deny it and wonder where in the world anyone could get such a preposterous idea, yada, yada, yada.

Hearkens back to Barack Obama's reference to those poor dumb sons of bitches in small towns who only cling to their guns and their religion. Got his ass whipped pretty good over that self-revelatory admission.

Do you have some examples of some non-garbage a non-regular listener should hear? All I ever see is crap that really isn't worth much posted by listeners and non-listeners alike.

Why don't you try actually listening to his show a few times, Cy_Click, and decide for yourself from a position of experience. Hell, most of you here think democracy is such a great thing...You lot seem to think what the majority wants is right...Given the enormous size of Rush's fan base perhaps it is time you guys just conceded that he is right and you are wrong.

Well let me help you out there. I know, for instance, that General Motors is "footing the bill" along with an online backup service called Carbonite.com (I myself use Carbonite.com's services after learning about them on the Rush Limbaugh show.)

Those are a couple of the national companies who "foot the bill" but then there are lots of local companies around the country like Gilbert Realty right here in Mountain Home, Arkansas and Carters Jewel Chest which is just a couple miles down the road from me. They buy advertising on the Rush Limbaugh Show as it is broadcast on the local talk radio station.

THOSE are some of the people who are "footing the bill" to keep Rush Limbaugh on the air. Interestingly, unlike with the left-wing Air America, there's not a "George Soros" in sight.

Is his fan base as enormous as his claims? Are they all in agreement with him. I saw a study that said liberals will listen to conservative talk but conservatives won't listen to liberal talk. Seems to me his listeners are not all on the band wagon. He is entertainment you know.
