Would calling Edwards an ambulance-chasing shyster be a lie, or merely unflattering?

Hum...given Edwards history of taking high profile personal injury cases and making a fortune thereby I would say that "ambulance chasing shyster" is unflattering but true.

Of course, you will not agree...you are too busy trying to convince us that your own lies about Bush and his administration are unflattering but true.

So the Conservative view is that personal-injury attorneys are all crooks who disdain their oaths and positions as officers of the court to make money by representing people who have suffered severe debilitating injury.

Makes perfect sense, Law, and is consistent with other conservative attitudes towards pretty much everyone not themselves.

As far as the making money part is concerned, I thought you were engaged to the free enterprise system, make as much as you can. Apparently not. One would think the cons worship of money and power would extend to those who have it on the opposite side, but evidently getting rich is only a sin when the non-Conservatives do it. And you have the nerve to suggest that I'm partisan, when you post ravings like you've just done.

So, its in keeping with the Leftist tradition and view of whats right in the world to sue for exorbinant sums but not in keeping with the Leftist view to make those exorbinant sums in an actual business...

In any even, regardless of whether you think he was justified or performing a service, he was still an ambulance chasing shyster.

In the same way that legal sex workers in Nevada are whores. The word you use for them reveals more about you than about them.

I do suggest though, that the definition of "shyster" is a lawyer who uses questionable and even unethical tactics. And the definition of "ambulance chaser" is an attorney who solicits clients in hospital rooms, often unethically, sometimes illegally.

This is what you suggest, without evidence, Edwards did to make his money.

Good ol' Rush is livid again....Two nuggets from his radio show the other day:

1. Calling Bill Clinton a "whore" for his speech a few nights ago. When was the last time that a media person called a past president a "whore"??

2. Rush is also encouraging his sheep to paste a sheet over their TV set while listening to Obama tonight, with the sheet stating "No experience"...(this of course said before Palin was selected as McCain's running mate)
