I do use some corrosive ammo also, and have got to where I dont always trust some of the other ammo if foreign made even though it says, non-corrosive. So I clean as though it is. The corrosive is cheaper, though not always availablle. But there is no problem as long as you clean after use.
Lees, since we're talking about it, with the SKS it shouldn't really matter whether or not you're using corrosive ammo or not as most SKS's have chrome lined barrels. I think the one exception might be the Yugo models but even then I wouldn't sweat it too much as long as you run some solvent down the barrel every so often.
I read an interesting thing about the Afghani's the other day, who still supposedly have a large collection of SKS's at their disposal. To clean their barrels they'll simply dip their shoe laces in some motor oil and run them through the bore of their guns. Job done.
