[quote Yes. First, one must visit psychiatrist and get the paper that he/she is mentally healthy. Second, one has to visit militia (police) and get the permition to gain a gun. After that he/she can buy a smooth-bore gun. After five years of owning it, he/she will be allowed to buy any hunting rifled gun.

Ridiculous.

But anyway. If you'd like to make a few kopeks for yourself, maybe you could, you know, send Stone and I some souvenirs from Mother Russia.

I've always been rather partial towards the RPK.

Probably best for all concerned that way...in any event, welcome to Fool Moon.

But I studied it at school. 17 seconds for disassembly and assembly a Kalashnikov, 10 seconds for filling a magazine. cry

Whoa. You disassembled an AK in 17 seconds and filled a 30 round magazine in 10?

You are the perfect woman.

I'm still unable to fully disassemble my Chinese SKS in under a minute. Suppose I need to work on that a bit more.

Not dissasemble, but dissasemble and assemble again. And all details by heart... They taught us to shoot ( rifle TOS-8) and throw a false grenade (RGD-16). Throwing was the most dificult task. The norm was 23 metres, but my usual result - 22.5 metres. Oh, we put gas-mask on in 5 seconds. All because of you, Americans... laugh

Psh, that's an understatement.

Russian soldiers definitely look good.

That's a Makarov she's holding, btw. :smirk:

Since Lawmage still refuses to show us his new addition to the family, I'll show you mine.

Smith and Wesson Model 457.

Chambered in .45, single stack mag which allows it to remain somewhat "thin". Definitely easy to carry.

7 round mags + one in the pipe.

All this for $200 barely used with 4 magazines.

The size of the .45 compared to the 9mm is rather impressive. In the image you can see the rounds with one lonely little 9 next to its big brother. The velocity is obviously a lot less with the .45, due to it's much larger size, but the damage this round does cannot be overstated.
