Another controversy is the age limit for drivers. Back in the early years of Nascar racing, you could drive in the series at 16, sometimes 15. Then they changed the age to 18. Now they want to change it to 21. But the issue right now is that there are so many drivers turning 18 this season, or just turned 18, and have rides waiting for them for this season. If they change the rule now, those drivers will have to wait three more years to get a ride. Is that fair? Shouldn't they just leave the age at 18?
Maybe they could just leave the 18 rule for the Nationwide series and Craftsman Truck Series. Then make it 21 for the Sprint Cuup Series. That would allow they ones from 18 to 21 to get some experience on the tracks before they jump in with the big boys. But it does leave a problem with the drivers in the Sprint Cup that aren't 21 yet. What do you all think would be the better thing to do?
