Hello Stone I would just like to say that my choice for president was Joe Biden as well, but it was clear to me from the outset that he was not going to win.I have listened to him a lot and he always seemed to talk a lot of sense, like you do. Dax: So as I understand your post, if America does elect a black President, we're a terrible country, and if we don't elect a black President we're a terrible country. America is not ready for,or wants a black president all you have to do is to look at the "Jenna 6 case" to see what I mean,if America was ready for a black president the Jenna 6 case would not have been allowed to get out of hand like it did.America is viewed by the world as a terrible country today this view was expressed loudly recently at the Bali conference on climate change when the whole world booed the America delegation and if there was a conference everyday America would be booed everyday, true or lie Dax? Dax: Keep talking like this and you'll force me to vote for Obama Does that mean you are going to vote for Mike Huckabee? if I was an American I would, anybody that can upset the neo-devils and upset the apple cart get my vote.

Cass, Voting for Huckabee would make you a conservative Republican (as opposed to a neo-con) and would render every previous post of yours meaningless. The Jena (not Jenna) case is complicated, and has been oversimplified, as usual, by the media. For a more complex, and probably more truthful version of the case, I recommend reading the article and comments on this site: http://pursuingholiness.com/2007/06/26/jena-6-update/ You'll find it's not as cut and dried as you may assume. It's also fallacious, as well as rather stupid, to suggest that one incident of racism in a hick Southern town is proof that America is not ready for a black President. But even if it were true, you should welcome the news, since you have suggested that the election of Obama would be reason for you to kill yourself. I'm not a big fan of suicide, but don't push me. Your country has its own shameful history of colonialism, racism and anti-semitism, so the "glass houses" aphorism should apply here. When you can come to the table with clean hands, you can discuss these topics with more authority, but your own racist (anti-white) and anti-semitic rants here undermine the very ideals you wish to achieve.

I don't mean to speak for Cass, but I think he prefers black candidates like Sharpton or Jesse Jackson, who are always ready to take the side of blacks in everything, even when it can be clearly demonstrated that their positions are, in themselves, racist.
The Tawana Brawley case (look it up if you don't know it) is a good example of Sharpton's race-baiting.
Basically, the case is this: Tawana Brawley, a 15 year old black girl, was found in a garbage bag, covered in dog excrement, with racist slogans written on her body in charcoal.
Brawley claimed she had been raped by six white men, and members of the NYC District Attorney's office and police department were accused.
Sharpton and two now-forgotten Jackson-style black attorneys leaped on the case with a vengeance. For months the news was filled with their loudmouth defense of Brawley and condemnation of the NYC police.
Eventually it was shown in court that Brawley had written the slogans on her own body and smeared herself with dogshit because she feared being punished for coming home too late.
Meanwhile, the case occupied much of the news for many weeks, if not months. Sharpton et al used it to show the allegedly racist nature of the NYC police department.
Ultimately the white men were aquitted and sued Sharpton and others for a total of 150 million dollars. The lawsuit amount was finally reduced to a few hundred thousand, with Sharpton's end being a paltry $65,000.
The case caused heartbreak and racial tension in New York and throughout America for years. Today, Sharpton isn't even embarassed by his scurrilous accusations. Tawana Brawley, now living under a different name, still insists the charges were true, although almost everyone with no racial axe to grind knows they were not, as shown by the evidence.
An objective view of this case can be found on the Court TV website.
My point in bringing all of this up is that to people like CassielA, the likes of Sharpton and Jackson are the only people capable of being a good black President in America. People like Obama (i.e. a black man who does not buy into racist bullshit) are, to use Cass' own ridiculous words, "House knee-grows"
By Cass' logic, Fitty Cent would be a better President than Obama, but probably only because he spells better than Bush.

Dax the cool: I don't mean to speak for Cass, but I think he prefers black candidates like Sharpton or Jesse Jackson, who are always ready to take the side of blacks in everything, even when it can be clearly demonstrated that their positions are, in themselves, racist That's not true. I am a thinking and an aware "knee-grow" that knows that America is not ready for a black president like your mate Obama. This is why Farrakhan has now intervened and has now supported Obama. Even if its luke warm, Farrakhan knows this will hurt the Obama campaign for the White House. God willing, Obama will beat Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination for president, then John McCain will beat Obama for the White House. I think it was Napoleon who said n"ever disturb your enemy when they are making a mistake". By the way, before anybody says it, I do not think that America is my enemy.

Me myself I believe America is ready for a Black President, it's a shame that some black people are not.
I'm actually ready for a good president. One with a strong loyalty to America and it's constitution. One for the people, which, I believe, with a little encouragement, would make a strong nation worthy of it's number one ranking in both strength and intellect. Anything but purple and green would be okay as far as outward appearance is concerned. It's time for america to stop thinking in terms of black and white because we're not the only game in town any more, we have to also consider our brown (Hispanic) brothers and sisters into the equation.
What about the red? Isn't that what Indians are? As far as Black leaders there are none that's why black youth will listen to a "Rapper" before they will the same old leaders they've had for years.
As far as the racist are concerned they're time is about over, it's our young people who will right all the wrongs of the older generations, they don't have all the brainwashing the older generations (Black and White) have had.
Are the black youth going to be righting the right wrongs if they are listening to a "Rapper"? What do you consider some of the brainwashing from which the youth have been freed?
