Not all Americans are intelligent about managing waste either. It is a continuing struggle to keep the population informed, and a difficult battle to persuade people and businesses that keeping the environment clean is more important than making small financial gains in the present in exchange for a cleaner planet in the future.
You say Chinese are not educated about pollution, yet you yourself have become educated. How did this happen? It is because you were interested in preserving the beauty and health of your country. I tell you that you will never be able to convince China's people to clean up the country unless you make them interested in the future, show them that a tiny profit today may cost their children and grandchildren their entire future, and make them believe it.
You must find other intelligent people like yourself in your own country and find a way to speak out together so that the people respect you. You know better than I how to accomplish this, you know what the Chinese people respect.
Americans were very slow to recognize the value of preserving the planet and cleaning the environment; Chinese people will be slow too. It is up to visionaries like you, Chenyu. But do not look to other countries to do your job for you. They will not and they can not. All change must come from within, and it is only people like you that can start things changing.
Posting these pictures here and preaching to us about the filth on the streets of China will never help your country. It might be interesting or depressing or disgusting for Westerners to see these pictures and know these things, but there is nothing we can do for you, we cannot help you.
You and others who think like you are responsible to create a tide of public opinion that will cause the government to act on the behalf of the public's concerns. If the public becomes very concerned and very vocal about the filthy streets and the health issues and the pollution, the Chinese government will be embarrassed before the world. You are one voice. Find others and form an organization and create a website for that organization and solicit the attention of other government agencies.... going person to person on websites like you are doing will not help your cause.
This is my advice. I hope you find it useful.

It is better to be a human being dissatisfied than a pig satisfied;
better to be Socrates dissatisfied than a fool satisfied.
And if the fool, or the pig, are a different opinion,
it is because they only know their own side of the question.
The other party to the comparison knows both sides.
